WHAT'S GOOD AT WORLDWIDE
  • We had the pleasure of having Jeff Marsh, Executive Director of Beat the Streets, stop by our facility this week and discuss all the incredible things they're doing for the sport of wrestling in under privileged communities. They are changing lives, and we encourage everyone to support their cause. You can also check out his YouTube channel “The Wrestling Coach" HERE
  • Did you get your copy of "The Big Book of Wrestling 2018: Coaches Edition"? Make sure you are the mailing list HERE.

  • Beat The Streets New York's Executive Director Brendan Buckley and Junior League Director Penn Gottfried are taking us back to the fundamentals for their #TechniqueTuesday this week. • The wait is almost over! Next weekend starts the 2018 United World Wrestling Championships in Budapest, Hungary. This could very well be the most thrilling world championship in wrestling history. Unfortunately, both the men's and women’s teams have had to deal with injuries this past week with Nahshon Garrett, Alli Ragan, and Jon Jay Chavez all being sidelined. Last year, six of the eight U.S. Freestyle team members medaled, pacing America to the team title over Russia. Check out the international odds for the event HERE
  • Since its inception in 2013, Who's #1 has become one of the best high school wrestling events in the nation. This year was no different with upsets in several of the weight classes. Check out InterMat's awesome write up HERE for the final results and a match by match analysis.
  • This past Wednesday, The Open Mat published their Adidas National High School Wrestling individual rankings. There have been several changes near the top, so if you haven’t been following the rankings closely, we recommend you take a look. In addition to their rank, this list will tell you what college the top recruits have committed to. Check it out HERE
