The Soles4Souls Mission is simple... To impact as many lives as possible with the gift of shoes. Soles4Souls facilitates the donations of shoes, which are used to aid the hurting worldwide. Shoe companies, retailers, and individuals can donate footwear (both new and used) to Soles4Souls who then, cleans the shoes and distributes them to victims of recent disasters such as Hurricanes Katrina & Rita and to those in need of footwear around the world. Soles4Souls have given away more than 3 million pairs of shoes. Unfortunately, this figure pales in comparison to the need that exists. More than 300 million children around the world don’t own a single pair of shoes. A sad irony is that the same amount of footwear was thrown into American landfills last year alone. Footwear may not cure cancer, or alleviate hunger, or fight AIDS. But shoes certainly do play a part in lifting the spirits of people struggling to improve their lives. It’s a simple yet effective way to erase the stigma of poverty, stop puncture wounds, end scrapes and prevent burns to feet of the poor and destitute. And it’s something we all have, in abundance, lying in our closets. Used running shoes are particularly valuable, since most are still in great shape. The staff at Worldwide Sport Supply is inspired by this charitable initiative and is committed to collecting as many shoes as possible for the cause. Worldwide Sport Supply holds shoe drives at every sponsored running event and in our home office. We offer our online customers an opportunity to donate their shoes and ship them to us for FREE. If you would like to donate your shoes, we will pay the shipping costs to our facility. Once we collect a large quantity of shoes we then donate them directly to Soles4Souls.
