Adidas will be offering the latest technology and fresh, new colors for their 2009 line of wrestling shoes.
The Adidas Mat Wizard III John Smith Signature wrestling shoe will knock your socks off! Adidas maintained the 360 degree ClimaCool ventilation, but created three hot new colors.
The Adidas Response II offers the ClimaCool technology and a new look. The Response II has a great reputation for consistency and winning.
Adidas also has a wide base wrestling shoe, the Adidas Response GT. This shoe not only provides a wider base, but excellent support and a glove-like fit.
A shoe developed specifically for the high school and college wrestler is the Adidas Vaporspeed II. The Vaporspeed has a monstrous grip and excellent support.
The all-round mat shoe by Adidas is the Tyrint V. The Tyrint has great longevity, since it is in its fifth version. It’s built low to the ground for swift maneuverability and indomitable support.
If a laceless shoe is what you want, the Adidas Extero II and Extero JR is your best option. The Extero offers the ability to go laceless or utilize a traditional lace closure, depending on your wrestling style.

It also has a specialized stability chassis for ankle support. The Mat Wizard also offres insideout heel liner construction to reduce pressure in the achilles tendon area. Smith's signature is on the forefoot
The adiStrike (not to be confused with the Bejiing shoe, the Adistar) has the welded three stripes for midfoot support. It also has ventflow vents in the mid-foot and forefoot perforations for foot comfort. The John Smith signature is located on the lace cover.
I think you will find the the new Mat Wizard III- John Smith Signature, an overall more comfortable fitting and cooling shoe.

Re: 2009 adidas Wrestling Shoes! I think what you will find is that the Adidas Mat Wizard III is extremely comfortable and flexible. As I stated in an earlier post, the shoe has great support. But don't let the word "support" fool you into believing it is a stff shoe. The Mat Wizard III will provide great assistance and flexibilitiy in your wrestling when your changing direction on shots, penetrating on a shot, or defending a shot.
So, not only are you going to be wearing the hottest shoe on the market, you'll be wearing a shoe that will help your traction on the mat during matches and practice. By wrestlingblogger on

Re: 2009 adidas Wrestling Shoes! Some old olympic models would be nice. All these new shoes are way to flashy. The toes are to pointed and the and they don,t make a wide shoe. The stripes should stop at the laces and not wrap apound the shoe. Make a shoe for the guy's who like some of the originals. Maybe something like the old european olympic shoes. By Jeff on
